Blog 1 5-8

Today was the first day of senior project at Country Club of New Hampshire. I met all the guys that work there and got a good feel for the place. Started off the day by hitting some balls at the driving range and then learned about picking balls from the range and washing them. Then the gentleman in charge of the cart barn, Joe, showed me the ropes for cleaning golf carts and putting up umbrellas. Joe then showed me around the course for a little bit, and we made sure everyone was keeping the pace of play and made sure no one was acting up. By the time Joe and I finished up out on the course, it was time to move some golf carts around and make everything look nice. Finished up the day hanging out in the pro shop and learning more about CCNH. 4.5 hours today

Over the first week of senior project at the Country Club of New Hampshire, I gained valuable experience and knowledge about various aspects of working at a golf course. Throughout the week, I was mentored by Joe and Karl, who taught me the ropes and showed me different responsibilities. blog 5-16

Today was the eighth day of senior project at Country Club of New Hampshire. It was cold and overcast today so there were not to many golfers going out this morning. I started off the day by organizing some carts and making the kind of carts look pretty. I then helped Karl pick some range balls and clean them. Karl and I then went into the woods boarding the range and picked out as many balls as we could. After that, the course pro Derek asked me if I wanted to go out and play on the course so I took him up on that. On the course, I really focused on smart shots and not taking unnecessary risky shots. This affected my score for the better but I felt like I played worse. 5 hours today, 36 total hours.

week 2 reflection

During this week's five days at the Country Club of New Hampshire, I gained valuable insights and developed various skills related to golf course operations. In the first three days, I  focused on tasks such as range maintenance, cart organization, and equipment management. I learned the importance of keeping the range clean by removing divots and picking up balls. I also became familiar with the process of moving and organizing carts to ensure an efficient flow. Additionally, I was introduced to the responsibilities associated with managing the rental clubs, organizing them properly, and sorting the miscellaneous clubs in the old pro shop. These experiences enhanced my understanding of the behind-the-scenes operations at the club.  On the fourth day, I had the opportunity to deal with customer service-related challenges.
